Continuous rains had badly damaged several roads, leaving commuters struggling with potholes and washed-out stretches. Responding to the situation, the government moved quickly to release funds and begin repairs.

Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu said the condition of roads had worsened due to the negligence of the previous government. He noted that traditional road construction methods were both costly and poor in quality, stressing that regular maintenance is essential to ensure lasting infrastructure.
