Telugu States in a Tug of War

Both the Telugu States – Andhra Pradesh and Telangana are in a fierce competition over the rankings of Ease of Doing Business given by the World Bank and Department of Industrial Policy and Promotion under Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India. The Telugu States are positioned in the second and third ranks just behind Uttarakhand.

Until the other day, Telangana is in the second position and Andhra Pradesh inched to that position now. As of now AP is leading some 0.42% score ahead of Telangana. The difference between AP and the first placed Uttarakhand is also a marginal 0.45%. These rankings are dynamic are are changing every day on the basis of validation of evidence put up by the states.

If both the states keep up the second and third place in the final ranking, it will be a big moment for Telugu people. Our readers may be reminded that these rankings have caused Cyber Crime allegations and cases between both the states as Telangana alleged copying of its data by AP. The final rankings will be announced in the first week of August.
