AP to implement SAP

Andhra Pradesh under the leadership of a Tech Savvy Chief Minister is using technology more often than any other state in the country. The state government’s finance department will be implementing an enterprise-wide comprehensive public finance management system (CFMS), from German enterprise software maker SAP.

This will bring efficiency in financial transactions, transparency in operations, accountability, while also being sustainable in the long run. And will also ensure information is at finger tips always to ensure proactive decision making.

The project was named e-Nidhi and the first phase had rolled out three modules – human resource management, budget distribution and control and expenditure management. The government says once CMFS will be fully rolled out it will serve all the real time data needs.
