The women Ministers, MLAs and MLCs in Chandrababu government followed a dress code for Dassera celebrations. On Tuesday, they all wore red sarees.
They planned to wear different sarees during the nine days of Navaratri. As part of that decision, red sarees were chosen to match the Gayatri Devi decoration.
In the morning, the women legislators visited the Vijayawada. Home Minister Vangalapudi Anitha said they wore red to honour cultural traditions. She also shared that they prayed for the state’s well-being.
Anitha said the Durga Navaratris were being organised in a grand way. She assured that care was being taken so devotees faced no issues. She also wished everyone happy Navaratris.
The ruling party women legislators later clicked pictures and recorded videos in the Assembly premises.
