Anna Canteens To Be Game Changer for Naidu?

Andhra Pradesh Government has rolled out 100 Anna Canteens across various towns in the state in the first phase on Wednesday. The Canteens serve piping hot food three times a day for a nominal Five Rupees Only to everyone who walks in.

More canteens will be open in the coming days. There is a phenomenal response for these canteens in the first couple of days from the Poor and Middle Class. They say the quality of the food served is very good and also affordable, the initial feedback says.

If these canteens are maintained clean and hygienic, they are expected to be a massive Game changer for the Telugu Desam Party ahead of the elections. The Government is monitoring the Food Quality on a Real-Time Basis and is also seeking the feedback from the people.

“GHMC is operating this scheme for quite a long time but they serve food only once a day. They do not have as much as varieties as us and we also serve Breakfast. This is a costly affair but the government is keen on doing it for the poor,” a source in the government claims.
