AP becomes victim of Swine flu in Hyderabad!

According to the Health and Medical department of Andhra Pradesh, the state has no potential risk from the Human Influenza ‘A’ (H1N1) (swine flu). But the flu still continue to threaten the state via Hyderabad.

Despite the state division, there are thousands from the State still go to the metro every day and are open to the risk of contracting the infection. They bring back the virus with them when they return. Nine H1N1 positive cases have been notified to the Epidemic Division in Hyderabad till last week this season.

The government is exploring ways to check the people returning from Hyderabad for the symptoms of Swine flu. Doctors advise general public should to consult a doctor if they develop vomiting, difficulty in breathing and if they notice blood in phlegm. Also persons having cold or cough should carry a handkerchief and cover their mouth and nose while coughing and sneezing because the virus spreads through droplets.
