AP BJP wants to postpone Railway Zone?

Regional media is carrying reports that Railway Minister Suresh Prabhu is going to announce the Special Railway Zone on 21st of this month. This news startled the anti-TDP cotterie in AP BJP State unit. They are asking the party high command to postpone the Railway Zone announcement by some more months.

“We just took a Rajya Sabha seat from TDP. And that too the seat is for Railway Minister, Suresh Prabhu. Now Railway Zone Credit will go to TDP. People will get a feeling that we have traded Railway Zone for Rajya Sabha seat,” BJP leaders are saying the party high command. They want the center to grant the Railway Zone in next year if possible.

“The government is yet to begin the exercise for GVMC elections. It will be better to wait till then to announce the Railway Zone. If we manage to get major chunk of seats in the corporation from TDP and time the Zone announcement, BJP is likely to bag the mayor post.” they told Party President, Amit Shah.
