AP Elections: National Media Vs Regional Media

It is more or less confirm that only Two Telugu Channels are giving their Pre-Poll Surveys for Andhra Pradesh. Andhrajyothy and TV5 are the two channels which have given their survey reports and both of them said the incumbent Telugu Desam Party is returning to Power in the elections.

This means a massive disappointment for Jagan Mohan Reddy who walked for more than 3600 Kilometers in the name of Padayatra and hired a Political Strategist spending some 100s of Crores. Jagan had drawn huge crowds in his Padayatra and the election meetings and now if this defeat is true, it means those crowds did not translate into votes.

This is not any strange because Jagan attracted Crowds even before the 2014 elections. Interestingly, most of the National Surveys have predicted Jagan coming to Power with a Thumping Majority. So, as far as the surveys are concerned, it is going to be National Media Vs Regional Media.

National Media is always known for not reading the pulse of the South so YSR Congress supporters are really scared. It is obvious that Regional Media would be able to gauge the mood of the people here better. But YSR Congress Supporters are taking solace from the fact that TV5 and ABN are the supporters of TDP. So, this tangle will be resolved only on May 23rd.
