AP High Court Finds Lack of Prima Facie Evidence in Chandrababu’s Case

Andhra Pradesh High Court has the SC, ST Atrocities Case filed against former Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu and former minister, Narayana. CID registered the case on the complaint of Mangalagiri MLA, Alla Ramakrishna Reddy. Chandrababu and Narayana were served notices to come to the CID office in Vijayawada.

The court asked the CID about the prima facie evidence in the case but the agency did not show any. The attorney representing the government said such evidence can not be revealed at this stage and it will be presented if it is allowed a complete and thorough investigation.

The court did not buy the argument and quashed the FIR. With this, the court may have agreed to the fact that this case is another political vendetta by the government. Also, it ascertains the fact the case is registered with no substance.

It has to be seen if the Government will challenge this in the Supreme Court.
