AP Purse Dents Naidu’s Image!

It may be due to over-reliance on his officials or the hurry to push for the cashless transaction, But Andhra Pradesh’s first e-wallet service, AP Purse failed Chandrababu Naidu big time. Everyone expected a robust application when Naidu announced this but what happened is a complete disaster.

The application is not a digital wallet but a grouping of private apps. The app only has links to the digital wallets and mobile banking apps of banks. Users who do not have those apps can click on corresponding links and open then. And the user who already has those apps can click to launch those apps.

People who have downloaded the App with many expectations are utterly disappointed and the App is very soon getting bad reviews in Google Play store. A little over thousand people have downloaded the app till now and the feedback indicates yet another failed app from the government which will become inoperational and unused very soon.
