AP Speaker’s Heroic Act

AP Speaker Kodela Siva Prasada Rao today caught few smugglers who are trying to chop off a tree aged 100 years in Firangipuram, Guntur district. The Speaker was travelling with his convoy from Guntur to Narasaraopeta. He happened to see some miscreants cutting down a tree to sell it off as Timber.

Upon seeing Kodela, they tried to flee off the place. Speaker’s security personnel chased them and caught them. Speaker Kodela got them in to his car and handed them over to the nearest police station. He questioned why R&B officials are not caring about those who are chopping down trees.

He also said that some lower rung staff and Timber mafia have joined hands and are cutting down trees. He went on to say the officials should not only work for planting trees but also take care of trees and save them from smugglers. The Speaker’s pro-activeness won accolades from every one.
