Special Status Issue Buried Forever in Parliament

But then the house could not come to a conclusion on that. Rajya Sabha Vice Chairman then referred it to Lok Sabha Speaker to decide if that is a Money Bill. Lok Sabha Speaker Sumitra Mahajan finally decided that it is a Money Bill. So, Rajya Sabha terminated the discussion on the bill.

That means the Special Status issue is buried forever in Parliament. The Opposition majority Rajya Sabha can not take it up while BJP with never before majority will never allow it in Lok Sabha. This comes as a huge relief to BJP led Central government.
