ATM centers to display Ads!

The security of ATM centers have become a major concern for every one. The recent attack on a woman in a Bangalore ATM reiterated the need of revising security at ATMs. There are already stringent rules framed for this. Each ATM should have a fit a security guard, there should be alarms in the ATMs which will alert nearest Police Station in crisis times and CCTVs in and outside the ATMs.

Till the end of November, there are 1.40 Lakh ATM Machines in the country but majority of them do not have all these facilities. Banks say that maintenance of all these measure will burn hole in their pockets. So, the Banks have decided to make money in other ways from now. They are planning to allow selling of ads in ATMs and the money thus earned will be put in these security measures. Banks are also planning to increase the Debit card fee from their customers for the same.
