Attempt To Murder Case Filed Against Pinnelli

YSR Congress Party’s Macharla MLA, Pinnelli Rama Krishna Reddy, has been making it to the news for the past few days for all the wrong reasons.

There had been a high-drama happened over his EVM smashing incident in the last couple of days. Finally, after he applied for anticipatory bail, the High Court ordered the police not to take any action against him till June 6.

Meanwhile, an attempt to murder case has been filed against Pinnelli now. A TDP agent filed this complaint against Pinnelli at the Rentachintala Police Station.

In his complaint, TDP agent Namboori Sheshagiri Rao stated that on May 13th, Pinnelli barged into the polling booth at Palvai Gate Polling Station and damaged the EVM and VVPAT machines. When Rao intervened to stop him, Pinnelli attacked him.

As per Sheshagiri Rao’s complaint, the Rentichintala police registered a case against Pinnelli under the IPC Section 307.

The Election Commission took the EVM smashing incident seriously and ordered the police to arrest Pinnelli Rama Krishna Reddy with immediate effect.

However, Pinnelli filed an anticipatory bail petition in the High Court which came in his favour as the court directed the authorities not to take any action against him till June 6th, until the election results are declared.
