Avinash Reddy Moves Supreme To Delay Arrest

There is a movement in YS Vivekananda Reddy’s murder case all of sudden. The CBI had issued notice to MP Avinash Reddy to appear before it on 19th of this month.

There are speculations he may be arrested this time. He was to attend the questioning yesterday but Avinash escaped saying it was ‘short notice’. A fresh notice was issued to attend on 19th.

As the arrest looks certain, Avinash Reddy is trying to delay the arrest further and has approached the Supreme Court now.

He moved an anticipatory bail petition in the Apex Court. He requested the Vacation Bench to hear his bail plea. Avinash’s Lawyers will mention it before Justice DY Chandrachud’s Bench today.

Earlier, Telangana High Court struck down Avinash’s Bail Petition. The Supreme Court also made critical remarks when YS Sunitha approached the Apex Court against High Court’s exemption for Avinash.

In all likelihood, the Apex Court will also reject the Bail but it will delay the arrest for some more days if the court decides to entertain the application.
