Axe on T-TDP Jump Jilanis?

Ahead of the Budget session on 10th of this month, Telangana Speaker Madhusudhanachari is looking at resolving the issue of T-TDLP merger in to TRSLP. There are demands that the Speaker should take the pending disqualification petitions in to consideration before taking up the merger issue.

Accordingly, the Speaker issued notices to five TDP MLAs who recently jumped in to TRS. They were asked to explain their action in a week’s time. Errabelli Dayakara Rao, Rajendra Reddy, Prakash Goud, Vivekananda Goud and Sayanna are among those who received the notices. There are also disqualification petitions pending on five other MLAs.

If they get disqualified, then they can not press for the merger of T-TDLP in to TRSLP. The disqualified members will also have to go to by-elections. But the Jump Jilanis are confident that they would be able to steer to safety in the by-elections as TRS wave is happening across the state.
