According to the popular Axis My India exit poll, the BJP is expected to make shocking gains in Telangana, winning 11-12 of the 17 Lok Sabha seats. The ruling Congress might secure only 4-6 seats.

The poll suggests a washout for K Chandrasekhar Rao’s Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS), which might only win 0-1 seats, and a possible surprise success for the BJP. Asaduddin Owaisi’s AIMIM is also projected to win 0-1 seats.
In terms of vote share, the poll predicts:
– NDA 43%
– Congress 39%
– BRS 13%
– AIMIM 2%
– Other parties 3%
In the 2019 elections, BRS won 9 seats, BJP 4, Congress 3, and AIMIM 1.
If these new predictions hold, it could lead to significant political changes in the state. If this happens, BJP will not hesitate to topple Revanth Reddy’s Government, which wouldn’t be short of any political tsunami in Telangana.
