The momentum for the party has come with the Baadhude Baadhudu program earlier this month.

Chandrababu Naidu has gone on district tours energizing the party in various constituencies.

Party insiders say Nara Lokesh has scripted and supervised both these programs and made them a big success.

He has formed an army of young leaders in all constituencies and is channelizing the young towards the party. It is also one of the important reasons for the success of Mahanadu.

The resurgence of the young in the party also pushed the seniors to get their act after almost three years of hibernation.

Lokesh also made an indelible mark on the party by announcing that he will relinquish his Party General Secretary post in lieu of the 2+1 formula (one year gap after every two years of power).

Such sacrifices are important to steady the system as well as give opportunities to more people, particularly the youth.

He also announced taking up a Padayatra if the party insists. There were reports that it is already a done decision and a formal announcement will come out soon.

After all the slain campaign between 2014-19, the resurgence of Lokesh to what he is today has surprised everyone.
