Balayya Shifts Vote to Hindupur

Nandamuri Balakrishna has decided to shift his vote from Hyderabad to his own constituency, Hindupur. Balakrishna who is residing in Jubilee Hills, Hyderabad has a vote in Khairathabad Segment. Balayya had already got his Hyderabad Vote removed and has applied for a vote from his Hindupur residence.

Along with Balakrishna, his wife Vasundhara is also shifting her vote to Hindupur. This is to avert any legal issues arising in 2019 elections and also to answer the criticism of the Opposition parties about the actor-politician being non-local. This also confirms that Balayya will contest the coming elections from Hindupur itself.

Hindupur is one of 14 constituencies in the Anantapur district and is known to be a fort of the Telugu Desam Party. Balayya’s father, NT Ramarao won thrice from this constituency and Harikrishna once. Telugu Desam Party has won all the elections in this constituency since 1985.
