Bars Become More Accessible in Telangana

Telangana government had decided to increase the number of Bars in the state so as to make them more accessible to the people. Currently, there are 814 Bars across the state and about 350 of them are in Hyderabad. According to the new rules, 40 new bars till come in Hyderabad while 20 more will come in the other districts.

Currently, there is one bar for every Thirteen Thousand people in Hyderabad and now the government is planning to have one bar for every Eleven Thousand People in the Capital Region. And then, there is currently one bar for every thirty thousand people in the districts, now Twenty-five thousand people will have one.

On the other side, the government also increased the license fee big time. A Bar License which was Five Lakh earlier is now increased to Forty Lakhs in Hyderabad while a bar license in the districts will cost Thirty Five Lakhs. This is a bid to fill the government coffers by increasing the income of the Excise department.
