In a boost to development, the central government has now announced a new railway line for Amaravati. Union Railways Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw said a 57-km railway line, costing about Rs. 2245 crore, will be built.

This new line will connect Amaravati to major cities like Hyderabad, Kolkata, Chennai, and Bengaluru. As part of the project, a 3.2-km railway bridge will be built over the River Krishna.

The railway line will make it easier to travel between Amaravati and different parts of India, including the north, central, and southern regions. It will also ease the travel of tourists to places like Amaravati Stupa, Dhyana Buddha Project, Amaralingeshwara Swamy Temple, and Undavalli Caves.

Additionally, this railway line will connect to Machilipatnam, Krishnapatnam, and Kakinada ports, improving transportation from these port areas.
