In what can be seen as a major development in Kaleshwaram lift irrigation project case, ex CM and BRS chief KCR has decided to attend the inquiry by one-man Commission PC Ghose.
KCR will appear before Ghose on June 5. It is known that PC Ghose had sent summons to KCR regarding irregularities in Kaleshwaram project.
All of Telangana was keenly waiting to see if KCR will attend the inquiry. While the Telangana Congress is calling the project a failure and allege that it was built for commissions, the BRS claims it was a success story.
Many in political circles feel the notices to KCR are part of vendetta politics by Revanth Reddy. BRS has been tearing apart Telangana Congress and Revanth Reddy in particular for not fulfilling the six guarantees given during elections.
BRS has also complained of the massive corruption and total failure of Revanth Reddy government. They have been vociferously demanding the resignation of Revanth Reddy as the CM.
Given this scenario, notices to KCR are mere diversion from himself, say Telangana political analysts. However, KCR agreeing to go for inquiry, shows that he believes in law and abides by it.
