Biggest Success of Telangana Govt till Date

SHE Teams can be termed as one of the biggest Successes of Telangana Government so far as it is showing visible results in Ground Zero. According to the records with Hyderabad Police, there is a reduction of around 20 percent in the harassment of women in the city after the SHE Team was launched.

The government is also contemplating to introduce a chapter about SHE Teams in the intermediate curriculum in Telangana to increase the awareness in people. This will be also useful in educating the people about the necessity to respect women. Police claims that Seventy-six per cent of people in Hyderabad city are aware of SHE teams.

According to the figures, 1,521 cases of harassment of women were reported last year, which is down to 1,296 cases this year. She teams receive complaints through Dial 100, Facebook, Whatsapp, Hawkeye App and direct phone lines. SHE Team claims to have handles some 2500 complaints through all these sources in the two years of its formation.
