BJP Is Not The First Option for Eetela

In his maiden press conference after resigning to the TRS and his MLA position, Etela Rajender went on to say that he has joined BJP despite his ‘Left’ background and went on to say he will continue to be secular. This statement very much indicates he is not wholeheartedly joining the saffron party.

Sources say that joining BJP is not the first choice of Eetela. He wanted to be ‘independent’ but then, his wife and other family members forced him to join the Saffron party since they believe they need the support of a party in power to brace the vendetta politics of KCR.

Even though Congress would have suited more to Eetela’s ideology, it can not offer that extra protection he needed. At this time, BJP state president Bandi Sanjay and Union Minister Kishan Reddy reached out to Eetela and convinced him to take the decision of joining BJP.

Eetela is likely to join BJP on the 11th of this month. Buzz is that he will not contest in his Huzurabad constituency but his wife, Jamuna would.
