Rajamouli In Strange Ground: Worry Or Trust?

The greatest commercial film maker of this generation, Rajamouli is currently working on the most ambitious project in his career in the form of Varanasi, which has Mahesh Babu in the lead role.

But the thing with this film is that it is possibly one of the most underplayed films from Rajamouli in recent times.

Generally, whenever there is a film from Rajamouli is coming out, there is a whole new degree of anticipation riding on it. This has been the case for the last decade or more.

But when it comes to Varanasi, there isn’t the same degree of anticipation in the common public beyond the social media space. This is possibly one of the underplayed films from Rajamouli in recent times.

Previously, there was the combination factor that was working in his favour, but this time it is only Mahesh Babu in the Central role, which could be a point of difference. At the same time, not much marketing material has been released from this film till now.

For now, people don’t fully know what to expect from this action epic. This is one of the principal reasons behind the lack of groundbreaking expectations that were previously associated with RRR, which had the presence of Charan and Tarak, which was enough.

This must be very strange ground for Rajamouli as his films being undermined is an emotion that was never witnessed in the past. But this is a good thing as well, considering that solid Content in the theatres will do the job on its own, regardless.
