BJP Makes Resigned Kanna as AP President

BJP High Command has appointed Kanna Lakshminarayana as the President of the Party Unit. This development has come on the next day immediately after the Karnataka Elections. Somu Veerraju who is the frontrunner till now was give some unknown organisational post.

A few weeks ago, Kanna resigned to the party and geared up to join YSR Congress. He was stopped at the last minute and was made to postpone the joining in the name of poor health. Finally, he agreed to stay in BJP after promising to make him the State Unit President. Finally, the announcement has come.

Kanna was a six time MLA and a Minister for almost Fourteen years during his Prime in Congress. Kanna contested on Congress ticket from Guntur West in the last elections and lost. A TDP hater all his life, Kanna was very vocal against TDP and played his part in TDP – BJP divorce. Him being a Kapu Community man will help with that segment, the party hopes.
