BJP Playing With Etela’s Political Career?

Etela Rajender who was recently ousted from Telangana Cabinet is under severe attack by the Telangana Government. There are multiple probes over the land-grabbing allegations on Etela Rajender. There are rumors about Etela floating a new political party but then, he seems to have chosen BJP.

Buzz is that he finalized a deal with the BJP high command. He was reportedly promised a plum portfolio if at all, BJP comes to power in Telangana in the coming elections. Eatala is waiting for the appointment of the BJP Top Brass to go to Delhi and join the party.

Media reports say that BJP high command has spoken to Telangana BJP President Bandi Sanjay regarding this development and stressed the need of protecting all the leaders who fought for separate statehood. After BJP’s stunner in the Dubbaka by-election and GHMC election, the saffron party could not keep up the momentum later on.

In the subsequent MLC elections, Nagarjuna Sagar by-election, and Municipal elections, the party fell flat. BJP wants Eatala to resign and contest from Huzurabad. They feel with Eatala’s and party’s strength, they can easily manage to win the by-election and bring back their momentum. But this is dangerous for Eatala because KCR will go all out to defeat him. If defeat, Eatala will be ignored by BJP as well.
