Boycott Anti Hindu Films Like Kalki 2898 AD

In a recent event in Krishna district, a Hindu religious gathering was held by Vishwa Hindu Parishad, with film lyricist Anantha Sriram attending.

During the event, Anantha Sriram made controversial statements about the portrayal of Hinduism in films.

He expressed his anger over movies that insult the Hindu religion, citing examples of films where Hindu deities and religious symbols were misrepresented.

Sriram shared an incident where a music director had rejected the term “Brahmanda Nayakudu,” and as a result, he stopped writing songs for him.

Sriram emphasized that films that degrade Hinduism should be rejected, pointing out the impact these films have on society.

He also criticized the portrayal of Hindu gods and myths in a distorted manner, urging that such films should be boycotted.

Sriram attacked Prabhas’ Kalki 2898 AD, calling the portrayal of Karna in the movie a distortion of history.

He questioned how such portrayals could be accepted when they misrepresent characters like Karna and hail him as greater than Arjun and Dharmaraja, who was silent during Draupadi’s Cheerharan. Sriram pointed out that such portrayals go against Hindu dharma, which would not accept these changes.

He further lamented that not just in Kalki, but across Indian mythology, films have altered the original stories from epics like the Ramayana and Bhagavata Purana to suit the filmmakers’ preferences.

Sriram also questioned whether Hinduism would accept such misrepresentations, adding that films like PK, which mock Hindu practices and deities, should not be supported.

Sriram further criticized filmmakers who twist historical facts and mythology for entertainment, noting that many movies have altered the traditional portrayal of Hindu gods and historical figures.

He urged Hindus to collectively boycott and reject such films to preserve the sanctity of their religion.
