The inevitable has happened as AP CM YS Jagan’s sister YS Sharmila Reddy has been arrested by Vijayawada police a short while ago. She was arrested by the police and shifted to the police station to de-escalate the situation.
AP Congress, under the leadership of Sharmila, called for a protest in the name of Chalo Secretariat regarding the Mega DSC notification. She started the protest from the Vijayawada Andhraratna Bhavan and went on a rally towards the secretariat.
The situation got tense after a heated argument started between AP police and Sharmila as the police cited law and order issues. After this heated situation, the police arrested Sharmila at the Kondaveeti lift irrigation project.
But there is no clarity on which police station Sharmila is being taken to. Congress cadres are severely protesting the arrest of AP Congress President, Sharmila.
