'Talasani not a member of TRS'

Talasani’s controversy is refusing to die down. On Thursday, Hyderabad High Court had issued notices to the Telangana Commercial Taxes Minister to file their counters to a plea that questioned the eligibility of Talasani to continue as a minister despite the fact that he resigned from his legislator’s post long ago.

Talasani who won on TDP ticket from Sanathnagar joined KCR’s cabinet. He announced that he resigned to his MLA post but the Speaker Madhusudhan Chary is yet to accept it. Earlier the High Court clarified that it can not interfere in the disqualification of the ‘defector MLAs’.

But this PIL is different as Talasani continuing as minister even after resignation. Telangana’s counsel told the court that Talasani did not join TRS party, but joined the cabinet as a minister.
