Cabinet Reshuffle Anxiety in YSR Congress

YSR Congress has finalized the candidates for the four Rajya Sabha seats which are going for elections. Pilli Subash Chandrabose and Mopidevi Venkataramana who will be out of the cabinet due to the abolition of the council got the nominations for the Upper House.

They will be resigning to their ministries as soon as they are announced elected. That will mean that two berths will fall vacant in Jagan’s team. Jagan had sent a message to the party MLAs that whosoever will put up the best performance in the upcoming local elections will get these two berths.

The first preference will be given to the BC Community MLAs since the outgoing ministers are BCs. Also, there is a talk in the party if the cabinet reshuffle will be confined only to these two berths or any of the existing ministers will have to walk out. The ministers are not even one-year-old and so they are unlikely to be any changes on the performance front.

Between both the outgoing Ministers, there are portfolios like Revenue, Registration and Stamps, Animal Husbandries, Fisheries, and Marketing. Pilli Subash Chandrabose is also the Deputy CM.
