Can Congress Woo Settlers in Hyderabad?

Settlers in Hyderabad rallied with TDP and BJP combine in the last election. The ruling TRS Party is just confined to Three seats here. But things have changed significantly after that as the Car Party got 99 out of the 150 divisions in GHMC elections.

This is due to the decline of TDP (TS) and the ire on Congress due to the State Bifurcation. With TDP (TS) registering no improvement at all, Congress is keen on wooing the Settler Voters ahead of the 2019 elections assuming that Bifurcation is a thing of the past.

Telangana Congress has arranged a Public Meeting of Congress President Rahul Gandhi in Serlingampally to woo the settlers. Rahul will mention how TRS is insensitive to the settlers and will also mention how it refused to support the Special Status Demand of Andhra Pradesh.

It has to be seen if Congress will be successful as such. TRS still believes that it is strong in the GHMC area and will repeat the results like GHMC elections. But Congress feels things will be lot different between Local Polls and Assembly Elections.
