Can Exit Polls Gauge The Silent Vote?

We are just a day away from the Exit Polls and we will get to know a hint about which way the Andhra Pradesh Public voted.

In 2019, a majority of Survey Agencies got it right in predicting the winner (YSR Congress) but they could not gauge the wave.

If the election is close, we will have to see if they get it right.

Meanwhile, there is another factor that will play a crucial role in this election.

It is believed that there is a ‘Silent Vote’ that will change the result.

YSR Congress says the vocal vote has gone to the TDP and its allies. The Silent Vote which is in the majority (mainly the women vote) will bring them to power.

But then, TDP says the Silent Vote is silent because they have voted for TDP but are afraid to reveal that since the YSR Congress will remove their schemes if Jagan returns to power. They fear the continuous micro-management by Volunteers, TDP says.

Leaving aside which way the Silent Vote went, we will have to see if the Survey Agencies can gauge this vote.

Suppose the election is tight as some people are predicting. In that case, Andhra Pradesh will be the most complex for the Agencies since there are many factors like money, power, caste, freebies, social engineering, etc.

The Exit Polls will start trickling after 6 PM tomorrow after the Ban by the ECI ends.
