Cases Booked on TDP Leaders in the Vishaka Tour Issue?

Vishakapatnam Police have come under severe criticism for their role in the Vishakapatnam Tour of Former Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu. Despite having the necessary permissions, they could not control YSR Congress Protestors and finally, did not allow Chandrababu to the city.

The other day, the court also wronged the attitude of the Police in this issue. On the other side, it is said that the Police have registered five cases in relation to the incident. However, they are not revealing the nature of the cases and on whom they were registered.

TDP supporters say that along with YSR Congress leaders, TDP leaders were also booked. “TDP leaders were booked on more serious charges and sections. While there were just namesake cases on YSR Congress Leaders. For the very reason, Police are not revealing the details of the cases,” a source in TDP said.

Meanwhile, Andhra Pradesh High Court instructed Vishakapatnam Police and AP DGP to file a detailed affidavit on the issue and the next hearing will take place on March 2nd. Chandrababu Naidu is likely to take up Vishakapatnam Yatra in the first week of March.
