Cash For Vote Case Future to Be Decided After Telangana Elections

The case of cash for vote scam which has created tremors in the political circles of both Telugu States has come to Supreme Court today for arguments. Uday Simha who is one of the accused in this case has filed a petition asking that the apex court to allow himself to implead in this case. Telangana ACB objects to this saying that it is only to delay the proceedings.

On the other side, the other accused in this case Jerusalem Mathaiah brought to the notice of the court that AP and Telangana police have joined hands in this case and are trying to Corner him. He also brought to the notice of the court that Telangana DGP is not giving appointment to him even though he has a life threat. The court did not take any decision on the implead petition of Uday Sinha and directed the Telangana DGP to give appointment to Jerusalem Mathaiah.

The next hearing of the case is posted to January 29th which means by then the results of the Telangana elections will be out and a new government will take the office. The future of this case will a lot a depend on which party will win the elections. The Supreme Court has taken this case after YSR Congress Mangalagiri MLA, Alla Rama Krishna Reddy approached the court asking to dispose of it off quickly as Telangana Government is intentionally delaying it in the lower courts.
