CBI Case on YSR Congress MLA and Wife – What Happened Actually?

CBI had registered a case of disproportionate assets on YSR Congress Santhanoothalapadu MLA, Adimulapu Suresh, and his wife, Vijaya Lakshmi. During April 1st, 2010 to April 29th, 2016, the couple has amassed 22.86% more assets than their income during the period, CBI established.

CBI registered a case on the couple. Vijaya Lakshmi is made the A1 and Suresh is made A2. Vijaya Lakshmi is working as a Commissioner in Income Tax Department of Chennai. CBI had raided them on a tip-off from Chennai.

YSR Congress had already started crying foul alleging Political Vendetta by TDP. But the fact is that CBI is a Central Agency and the case is registered by Tamil Nadu ACB which is totally out of Andhra Pradesh Government Jurisdiction.

Suresh previously worked as Indian Railway Accounts Service Officer. He was elected as MLA in 2009 and 2014. These cases will haunt YSR Congress as already the main leaders of the party including YS Jagan Mohan Reddy are involved in disproportionate assets cases.
