CBI Upgrades Avinash Reddy From Witness To Accused

Kadapa MP Avinash Reddy will be attending the CBI questioning once again later today in connection with Former Minister YS Vivekananda Reddy. He has been summoned to the CBI office in Hyderabad this afternoon.

The CBI already questioned Avinash Reddy four times in this case. On all the previous occasions, Avinash Reddy was issued notices as a Witness in this case. But he has been upgraded to an accused in the recent notice.

His father Bhaskar Reddy who is already arrested was named A1 in this case while Avinash Reddy is termed A2.

This indicates that the case has entered a crucial stage and there are all chances of Avinash Reddy’s arrest from here. There are speculations that today will be D-Day.

The CBI says Bhaskar Reddy and the MP are aware of the murder well in advance and also tampered with the evidence. They are indirectly implying that they are the conspirators of this murder.

It has to be seen if there will be further arrests in this case as the CBI also questioned Jagan’s OSD Krishna Mohan Reddy and Bharathi’s PA Naveen in this case.

Elections in Andhra Pradesh are just a year away. Avinash Reddy if arrested will have a severe impact on the ruling party.

If there are further arrests after Avinash Reddy, there will be tremors in Andhra Pradesh politics in days to come.
