CBN: Ready to Contest in Telangana in 2029

Andhra Pradesh CM Chandrababu Naidu shared his thoughts with a popular television channel. The anchor asked Babu about spreading TDP to other states.

Chandrababu was candid and said they had no such plans in the past. But now, since the state has been divided into two, he said they will surely step into Telangana.

Being a regional party that could dictate the choosing of PMs and Presidents, TDP chief said that the objective of TDP was the growth and empowerment of Telugu people wherever they are.

The anchor then asked Babu if TDP will contest in Telangana. Chandrababu answered in affirmative and said Telangana was home to TDP. The party was born in MLA Quarters in Hyderabad, said Babu.

The anchor then reminded Babu that more people in Telangana, especially from Hyderabad and Khammam raised slogans and protested when Babu was arrested in AP. To this, Chandrababu said TDP was a party of Telugu people and their aspirations. We won in Andamans due to such feelings, Babu added.

There is a lot of support in Telangana and there are also NRIs wanting TDP to come to Telangana, he said.

So, in 2029, TDP will be contesting against the Telangana Congress and BRS. Surely, an interesting development in the country’s youngest state Telangana.
