CCTV Surveillance on AP Police

Andhra Pradesh Government has decided to bring more reforms in the police department to make them more closer to the people. On several complaints of inappropriate behaviour of Police staff with people who approach them with various complaints, it is decided that every Police station in the state will have CC cameras installed and they will be continuously monitored by a system in place at district SP office.

In the first phase, few selected police stations of the state will have the cameras installed and each police station will have 6-8 cameras installed. Andhra Pradesh DGP Ramudu recently visited Israel and have seen the effective working of this model there and now he is looking to develop the same here.
