Center’s Good News to The New Government in AP

Andhra Pradesh will have a new government towards the end of the month. It has to be seen if there is a change of guard or not. Whoever forms the new government here will have a piece of immediate good news from the Central Government.

Steps are underway to release the 1000 crore special financial support of Amaravati. So far, the Center has released 1500 Crore of the total 2500 Crore promised to Andhra Pradesh and the remaining amount would be released in three equal installments of ₹ 333 crores each.

The first installment of 333 Crore will be released to meet the immediate expenditure on the ongoing works for the year 2017-18. This was assured during a high-level meeting convened by the Union Home Ministry last month to review the status of implementation of the provisions under the AP Reorganisation Act, 2014.

However, if YSR Congress come to Power, this may become a bit complicated as the party is hinting about a change in the Capital.
