Center Terms TDP’s Action as Muscle Flexing and Blackmail

After TDP pulling out its Ministers from Union Cabinet, BJP seems to be not bothered much. The center has given more leaks today with some strong words. It sent a message that TDP is trying to blackmail the center and it will not work.

“We want TDP to be part of NDA but not at the cost of Center’s finances. Chandrababu is looking somewhere at One Lakh Crore Rupees. If the government will doll out, infrastructure works across the country will be stalled and defense purchases have to be stopped,” they say.

Even though BJP and the Prime Minister Narendra Modi himself promised the Special Status, the center disassociates itself from that now. “If budge to the pressure, states like Odisha, Jharkhand, and Bihar which are demanding that for a long time have to get them first,” the leaks said.

But the big question is the One Lakh Crore for Bullet Train between Mumbai and Ahmedabad, 51000 Crore for Mumbai Suburban Railway Expansion, and 17000 Crore for a similar project in poll-bound Karnataka will not have any implications on the Center’s finances.
