Chairs and Tables Broken in TN Assembly Ahead of Floor Test

Ruckus and Din are small words to describe the scenes in Tamil Nadu Assembly as the house sat for the Trust Vote of Edappadi Palaniswami. DMK and other parties have demanded a Secret Ballot which the Speaker has rejected. While the Speaker decided to take the voting by Division, the hell broke loose.

DMK MLAs created a huge ruckus in the house damaging the Tables and Chairs. DMK MLA, Ku Ka Selvam sat on the Speaker’s Chair in protest. The other DMK MLA Poongothai Aladi Aruna climbs on bench and raises slogans demanding secret ballot while the other MLAs tear papers and throw chairs in the Assembly.

Finally, the Speaker adjourned the house till 1 PM. Now, it is upto Edappadi Palaniswami to safeguard his MLAs till the house reconvenes again. There is no facility of live transmission of Tamil Nadu Assembly Proceedings and there are several restrictions imposed on media making it difficult to know what is going on in the house.
