The government has allocated Rs 435.35 crore for this programme. With both private and public transport expanding, auto drivers have struggled to find stable income, and the scheme aims to provide them with much-needed financial support.

A total of 2.9 lakh auto drivers have been identified as beneficiaries. Each driver will get Rs 15,000 annually. The Chief Minister said the initiative will particularly help those impacted by the Stree Shakti free bus scheme.
