Naidu Adding Frills to Secretariat Buildings!

Reports have suggested that Andhra Pradesh government is considering to give back the Secretariat Buildings in Hyderabad to Telangana government for the construction of new secretariat in the same location. But this giving back is going to come up with some frills. We are told that AP government is considering three options.

The first option is retaining only the L Block with AP and handing over the remaining four blocks to the Telangana government. The minimal staff staying back in Hyderabad will be moved to L block. The second option was retaining J, K and L Blocks which are adjacent to each other and handing over the remaining two blocks to the TS government.

The last option is going to be tricky. Andhra Pradesh government is planning to link Telangana’s request to 10th Schedule institutions. It means Telangana government should co-operate over sharing of assets of the institutions listed in the 10th Schedule. This is the logic behind Naidu’s Give and Take Policy.
