Tricky Question On Amaravati, How CBN Reacted?

Chandrababu is reasonably accredited for sculpting Hyderabad to whatever extent he could, while he was the chief minister of United Andhra Pradesh. Now he has the big responsibility of creating Amaravati from scratch, and this is the most discussed question amongst media circles.

Chandra Babu was asked a tricky question about Amaravati and the development of Andhra Pradesh as a whole while he interacted with Tamil media while campaigning for the NDA here.

This Tamil reporter asked Chandrababu about the prospect of development by comparing Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh. The reporter said Tamil Nadu has serious shortage of land resources in prime areas while Andhra Pradesh has it in abundance.

The implication here is that Tamil Nadu has many big cities with congested areas and it’s tough to accord lands here as opposed to Andhra, where lands are in abundance.

To this tricky question, Chandrababu replied that Amaravati is a land monetisation project, which includes farmer contributions of 33,000 acres give makes it a completely inclusive development project. He added that another 17,000 acres are going to be pooled by the government in the 2nd phase.

The obvious option here for Chandrababu is to utilise their land resources of Amaravati to buying more companies at nominal setup costs. And once the IT boom starts and land values go up, it’ll be very beneficial for the government and also the invested farmers.

This would obviously take time, but this is the only viable model for Andhra Pradesh which desperately needs a solid capital after having lost out on Hyderabad, opined a real estate market analyst with M9.com.
