Naidu Brings Modi’s Distinction to AP

Gujarat under the leadership of Narendra Modi achieved 100% electrification of households which made the state the first in the country to achieve the feat. Now, Andhra Pradesh achieved the same in the leadership of Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu. This was revealed by JM Financials which published the report based on a national -level survey on electrification in various states.

Truncated Andhra Pradesh had achieved this feat by the end of June this year. Now, the state is working on the target of ensuring uninterrupted world-class quality power supply. The survey also revealed that about 35 per cent rural households in states like Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Bihar, Odisha and Assam still lacked access to power supply.

Andhra Pradesh is working on a strategy plan to reduce overall transmission and distribution losses, which currently stood at 10.3 per cent, to a single digit by the end of the current financial year. The overall transmission and distribution losses in Andhra Pradesh were already brought to all time low in this government and is currently the lowest in the country.
