Naidu Distances From Responsibility Given by Modi

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu who recently came out of NDA criticized the Note Ban. Naidu who was a strong advocate of Higher Denomination Note said the failed implementation costed huge for the economy and also forced people to stand in Queues for their own money.

Back then, Naidu was appointed as the Chairman of a Committee which will recommend ways to promote digital transactions. Many criticize Naidu saying that the implementation failure is also his as he is the chairman of the committee.

Naidu was asked about the same in an interview, “Yes. We have made several recommendations and also submitted a report to the Central Government. But it is just a namesake committee and nothing has been implemented. Even today people feel physical transactions cost effective than digital transactions”.
