The roadshow of Naidu earlier in the day also received a massive response. Naidu was able to bring various groups in the constituency to a common platform which was a big relief to the party.
Venigalla Ramu who is said to be the candidate against Kodali Nani was also seated on the dais and was also allowed to speak. Ramu is considered the strongest possible candidate against Nani in all the elections he faced so far.
This is both in terms of caste and financial strength.
Probably, this seems to be having an impact on Kodali Nani. The former Minister called for a Pressmeet and was abusing Chandrababu Naidu and Lokesh more intensely than his usual style. At one point, he did not mind his words when referring to Nandamuri family members.
In desperation, he also invoked Junior NTR trying to pit NTR fans against the Nandamuri family and the TDP.
He is clearly puffing and panting indicating the pressure he is in.
“Nani is losing cool ever since losing cabinet berth. Having to face a strong candidate is giving him sleepless nights and hence the frustration,” the local TDP cadres are saying.
Meanwhile, YSR Congress social media teams and Sakshi are peddling videos towards the end of the meeting and are trying to portray the meeting as a failure. But Kodali Nani’s frustration says a different story.
