Naidu’s Easy Solution for Nation’s Biggest Development Hurdle

Acquiring Land parcels is the biggest hurdle for development in the country. There are many mega projects that were stalled for years as the governments struggled to acquire the necessary lands. However Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu seem to have got a solution for that.

We have seen him collecting over 30000 acres of land for Amaravati, the upcoming capital of the state and now the land acquisition for the proposed Bhogapuram Airport in Vizianagaram district is also happening at brisk pace. The government already acquired 1550 acres of the total 2004 acres needed for the airport.

The remaining lands will also be acquired very soon. Tenders will be called for the airport construction in the coming September and the construction will begin from January 2017. Bhogapuram Aerotropolis project comprises of an international airport, maintenance repair and overhaul facility and an aviation academy. The new airport is planned to ease the burden on Vishakapatnam airport which registered a whopping increase in passenger traffic after bifurcation.
