Naidu Has Very Little To Worry About Scrapping the Council

YSR Congress has initiated a discussion in the Assembly about the scrapping of Council. The house posted the final decision to Monday. Sources in the ruling party say that Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy was very angry with how the council stalled his Three Capitals plan and is keen on revenge.

YSR Congress supporters are very worried as patience for a year or two will ensure that the entire council will be dominated by then. As soon as the Council is scrapped, two Ministers – Pilli Subash Chandrabose and Mopidevi Venkata Ramana have to vacate their seats.

Moreover, there is a huge list of MLC aspirants in the YSR Congress. During the Tickets Distribution the last time, Jagan made MLC promises to several leaders and they can not be accommodated now. Even though Jagan ignores it now, he will be once again under pressure during the next election.

On the other side, TDP which has 29 members in the council now may suffer temporary loss but with their majority going lost in a year or two, they are not very much worried. “Anyways the Council scrapping will take a year, so our loss is minimized there. Out of Ego, Jagan is cutting the branch he is sitting on,” a TDP leader said.
